Luke Howard 250th anniversary events
The Hub is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Tottenham resident Luke Howard, the ‘namer of clouds’.
Sat 26th November
10.30 – 12.30 Children’s cloud-related activities with kite making, cloud gamerrs and cloud performance
Sunday 27th November
10.00 – 12.00 Energy and climate change workshops led by Tottenham Friends of the Earth and eN10ergy
13.00 – 15.00 Talks by the Luke Howard biographer, and representatives from the Met Office and the Cloud Appreciation Society organised by Tottenham Clouds
15.15 Official unveiling of the new Luke Howard Weather Station, solar panels and clouds interpretation boards
16.00 – 18.30 Screening of the climate change feature film The Age of Stupid, including an interview with the Director Franny Armstrong.
