It is the largest public park in Tottenham, with great views across to Alexandra Palace. It contains some interesting historic features, such as the Shell Theatre and the world’s first ever model traffic area.
It is also crossed by one of London’s hidden rivers, the Moselle and has a large lake with many birds. There is a playground for young children, a multi-use games area and a skateboard/BMX area. There is also a great outdoor gym for exercising.
The park also boasts a large playing field for casual games. The BMX dirt track along with the model traffic area make the Rec a great place for cycling for all ages. Bikes can be hired from Rockstone Cycling Hub at the Lordship Lane entrance to the park. To find out more about cycling in the park have a look here.
There are lots of additional community groups and clubs operating within the park, from litter pickers and nature activities to walking groups. For park projects please click here and to access the full list of park projects click here.
