Lordship Hub is looking for new volunteer board members.
We are particularly interested in hearing from local people who have skills and experience of financial management, fundraising, IT, hospitality retail, running a small organisation or people management.
Lordship Hub is a vibrant community centre and café in Lordship Rec, Tottenham’s largest public park. It was established in 2014 as a community co-operative to encourage local people to take ownership of the Hub building and make it a great community resource. We encourage all staff, volunteers and users to become member of the cooperative so they can have a say in what we do and how we do it.
Our aim is to provide a space and services that are needed by park users and the local community. This includes 2 rooms for hire, and a cafe serving a menu that is focused on fresh, wholesome, tasty and affordable food. Our activities and pricing have to be appealing to our local community and also allow us to run a financially sustainable organisation.
Ideally, you will already be a user or a member of the Hub and will want to do more than the minimum time commitment, such as taking on a specific role or responsibility on behalf of the board.
Ideally, you will have experience and knowledge of one or more of the below areas:
We are also interested to hear from people who do not want to join the board but have these skills and could volunteer on a more limited basis.
If you are interested in being a board member, or have the skills outlined above and want to volunteer on a more limited basis, please complete this online form.
If you have any questions or want to find out more about the role, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
