Users give the Hub 4 out of 5 stars

Users have praised the Hub for its welcoming atmosphere, the variety of activties and the positive impact on the local community.

Survey respondents gave the Hub an overall rating of 4 out of 5.

Users who completed the survey also suggested things they’d like to change including longer opening hours, more affordable menu options, and improved cleanliness.

The survey

During March and April, 90 people completed the user feedback survey.

We asked them about about a range of things, including:

  • How and why they use the Hub
  • How they rate the Hub’s different services – cafe, toilets, room hire, classes and community events
  • Whether they are aware of how the Hub cooperative is financed and managed

We also asked people for personal information – such as their age, ethnicity, employment and housing status – to help us understand whether we are serving everyone in the local community equally.

Next steps

The survey results will be discussed at a user feedback workshop on Saturday 26th April at 2pm.

At the workshop, cooperative members and users will be focusing on the biggest themes and discussing whether and how we can deliver the improvements people have requested.

The workshop is open to anyone and everyone – come along and make sure your voice is heard.

Quotes from the survey

“I feel so privileged to have a warm and happening community space close to home.”

“Amazing building and fantastic staff. Lots of brilliant things to do and I love the fact that you have SEND people working there. This is an amazing resource. My only criticism is that sometimes no one arrives to open up on time.”

“It’s a good community center with lots going on. It doesn’t always feel representative of the community it’s within though, largely due to the inaccessibility created by high prices.”

I love the cafe and the wider events in the park. But details of the events within the hub don’t seem to ever reach me on time, and the classes I’d like my kids to go to I am scared of walking back in the park after dark.
