Carbon Champion Volunteers have been training over the summer to help families, friends and their communities find ways to save electricity/gas, reduce their bills and save the planet through reducing their Carbon usage. We are now starting a Community Engagement programme with some events at the Hub on the first Thurs of the month from Oct – Dec.
THURS 6th Oct – 11:30 -14:30 SHINE representative Terence Jeffrey will be on hand with the extensive services offered by SHINE and information for help with bills, grants and energy saving measures.
Haringey has partnered with the SHINE London energy advice service to help residents keep well and warm and reduce the anxiety of paying for large fuel bills. Find out exactly what SHINE offers, how to make referrals (good for organisations) and how to advise people to self-refer.Followed by Q&A with Carbon Champion volunteers on hand to signpost to useful energy saving advice.
THURS 3 Nov: Sustainable Haringey, presentation and Q&A: Learn about eN10ergy, clean local energy, community solar power projects and all things green in the borough
THURS 1 Dec: Haringey Connected Communities: Stella Sumah discusses joined-up support for Haringey residents this winter and beyond. Presentation & Q&A followed by Carbon Champions Takeover.
