There’s plenty happening at Lordship Hub this October, with celebrations of plants and nature, creative half-term activities, and Halloween fun. Everyone is welcome!

The Folklore of Plants

Sunday 11 October | 1:30pm–3pm

Plants have stories to tell! Join Ruth Green of Friends of Harmony Gardens for an illustrated talk exploring the myths, legends, beliefs and traditional uses of the plants around us.

Discover the stories plants have carried through generations and celebrate the connection between people, plants and place.

Harvest Festival & Apple Day

Saturday 24 October | 1pm–5pm

Join us for a hearty community buffet, traditional crafts, songs and a celebration of nature.

We’ll also be celebrating Apple Day, with heritage apples, traditional apple juicing, a longest-peel competition and sweet apple treats. Come along and enjoy an autumn afternoon with the community!

Half-Term Fun at the Hub

Come & Play: Ukulele Adventures

Wednesday 28 October
Ages 5–6: 3pm–4pm | Ages 7–9: 4pm–5pm

Join Ukulittle for a playful musical adventure at Lordship Hub. Children can explore music, get creative and have fun joining the band!

Spooky Creatures: Half-Term Art & Film Camp

Wednesday 28–Friday 30 October | 10am–3:30pm
Ages 5–10

Get crafty this Halloween! Children can make hairy spiders, spooky bats, cats and other creatures using recycled materials, drawing and 3D pens.

Then bring those creations to life in a spooky stop-motion film at this hands-on creative holiday camp.

Halloween at the Hub

Friday 30 October

Get ready for an evening of glowing lanterns, spooky adventures and dancing!

Lantern Making | 4:30pm–5:30pm
Create your own glowing lantern to take on our mysterious spooky walk. The workshop costs £4 per child or £2 per sibling, including materials and a story.

Mysterious Spooky Walk | After lantern making
Bring your lantern and join us for a spooky adventure! The walk is free.

Halloween Disco | From 6:30pm
Put on your best costume and join us for music, dancing and Halloween fun, with prizes for the best costumes and dance moves. Entry costs £2 per child or £1 per sibling.


All events take place at Lordship Hub, Lordship Recreation Ground, Tottenham, N17 6NU.
