Haringey Fringe Theatre Festival

Haringey Fringe Festival logo

Haringey Fringe theatre festival is taking over the newly re-painted Shell Theatre and the ever buzzing Lordship Hub on Saturday 30th July from noon until 8pm.

The hand-made and local Felt Sound System is powering the event and is bringing music and DJ sets to the stage – so alongside watching the various forms of theatre on stage you can as well get on it yourself and dance to the beats of various styles of music.

The Hub Café stays open until 8pm and is catering the event and the Lordship Hub will be home to a few workshop and further performances.

The event is free (donations welcome) and – although mostly directed at adults – can be safely overheard by all ages.

You can find more details via our socials on Instagram and Twitter and online.

It is with great pleasure and honour to make contact with you, through this e-mail regarding matters of arts and culture entertainment.

Iam writing on behalf of African Sunset Productions which is part of our organisation Rise and Shine,we produce artist and create our own musical shows.

We would like to put forward an application letter of invitation to show-case one of our shows at your event, please find videos below and information.

    Stimela”The Gumboot” Musical
Named after a brand of gumboot, this terrific show is loosely linked by an old man’s memories of his days in the mines, where many men were drawn from the townships. The dance routines and the songs tell of the miners back-breaking work, their longing for home and the way their songs and those gumboot dances eased the pain. The thigh-slapping, boot-stomping routines are backed by a three-piece band and accompanied by Ladysmith Black Mambazo style singers. It is funny, tender and energetic and the company work as hard to bring you the gold!

    Africa Entsha

Africa Entsha performances are from the South African oral tradition, sung accapella in gospel style. At the very heart of their shows are zulu songs, full of rhythm, style and spirit from the very moment of their unique all singing, all dancing performances. Africa Entsha are completely captivate, by the end of the show, the audiences are left breathless, often deeply moved.
