Looking for somewhere for a special occasion?
Depending on the size of the party or gathering, both the Community Room and the General Activities Room are ideal for birthday parties or other celebrations for children and adults. After 5pm, the café is also available for hire (excluding the kitchen).
The rooms are bright and airy with neutral decor, and have access to outside space and the park. You can decorate the room to your taste, bring your own food and drink, and/or open a tab with the café. Both rooms have a kitchenette for your use, and alcohol is allowed but can’t be sold. Whilst we don’t organise parties ourselves, we’re very happy to put you in touch with party organisers, performers, caterers and bouncy castle hire companies.

We keep most Friday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings, for private party bookings, and we are open on most bank holidays. Bookings are subject to availability, and we advise you to book early, particularly in spring and summer.
Sessions must be booked for a minimum of two hours. You also get half an hour free beforehand to set up, but you must finish clearing up within the time booked.

Please note: bouncy castles are only allowed outside the building, but small baby ball pits can be used inside the General Activities Room.
The building is accessible on foot through nearby park entrances. There is no parking at the Hub, so all vehicles must park off site. However, there is currently plenty of unrestricted parking on the roads around the park at weekends and in the evenings, and vehicle access can be arranged on request for loading and unloading, and for disabled visitors.
